2008 Enrichment Classes
Take a look at the Enrichment Classes that are offered through The Learning Stop for the Summer of 2008. Everything from Pre-K, Kindergarten and School-Age Enrichment classes to specialized classes in music and reading.
All enrollment forms and registration fee must be received prior to the start of the class.
Art Class (45 minutes):For ages 3-6. Each week, we will read a picture book and make an art project to go along with the theme of the book. All projects will be Process Art (open-ended). Pricing: $78. This is a drop-off class. Teacher: Ms. Catherine
Kindergarten
Enrichment (2 hours):
Five year-olds (who have already completed a year of kindergarten) participate
in activities that further prepare them for first grade--circle time,
calendar, story time, small group instruction (letter sounds, writing
letters & words, reading, music, movement, sign language, and free
play. Snack will be provided. Pricing: $102. Teacher: Ms. Catherine
Music
Class (45 minutes):
F or ages 3-6. Children will be introduced to, and play, musical instruments
of all kinds, march, sing, and learn songs in sign language. Pricing:
$78. This is a drop-off class. Teacher: Ms. Catherine
Pre-K
Enrichment (2 hours):
Four year-olds (who have already completed a year of Pre-K) participate
in circle time, calendar, story time, work centers (art, writing, math,
science, etc.), small group instruction (letter sounds, writing letters
& words), music, movement, gross and fine motor activities, and free
play. Snack will be provided. Pricing: $96. Teacher: Ms. Catherine
Reading Enrichment (1 hour and 15 minutes): Children (age 5+) will practice reading and writing, through fun activities that will both engage and delight them. This class is for children who are recognizing words, as well as, those who are reading. Pricing: $90. Teacher: Ms. Catherine
School-Age Enrichment (1 hour and 15 minutes): This class will help strengthen the child’s reading, vocabulary and comprehension, as well as, reinforce key math concepts. Children don’t always understand a concept the first time around, so reinforcing the material is very important to their future success. Pricing: $90. Teacher: Ms. Catherine
